NIGERIANS IN PAIN: A COMPASSIONATE LETTER TO PRESIDENT TINUBU AND MY FELLOW COUNTRYMEN ON THE OCCASION OF EASTER SUNDAY

My dear President and my fellow Nigerians,
As we solemnly celebrate this Easter Sunday, a time of reflection and renewal, let us not forget the challenges that we face as a nation. The hardships that many of our people endure – hunger, unemployment, and insecurity – weigh heavily on our hearts and demand our urgent attention.
In these difficult times, we must come together as a united people, bound by our shared humanity and our common aspirations for a better future. We must reject the politics of division and embrace the spirit of empathy, understanding, and cooperation that has always been at the heart of our founding fathers.
Leadership is not about the exercise of power, but the responsibility to serve all our citizens with fairness and compassion. It is a call to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, to uplift the most vulnerable among us, and to create a society where every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed without limit.
Let us draw inspiration from the resilience and strength of the Nigerian people, who have faced adversity with courage and determination throughout our history. Let us recommit ourselves to the values of justice, equality, and solidarity that once defined us as a nation.
To our President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and other politically exposed elites, I urge you to open your hearts to the cries of your people who are suffering deeply. The current state of our beloved country is a stark reminder of the urgent need for compassionate leadership that prioritizes the well-being of all Nigerians, especially the most vulnerable among us.
It pains me to see children starving and dying, families struggling to make ends meet, and the pervasive sense of despair that has taken hold across the nation. The economic downturn, insecurity, and social crises have created a heavy burden on the shoulders of every Nigerian, and it is time for us to come together in solidarity and empathy to overcome these challenges.
I implore you to lead with kindness, empathy, and a genuine desire to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. We must address the root causes of our current situation and work towards creating a more just and equitable society for all. This requires a commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance that puts the well-being of the people at the forefront of every decision.
Let us remember the true spirit of Easter – a time of renewal, forgiveness, and compassion. As we reflect on the sacrifices made for the greater good, let us recommit ourselves to building a brighter future for all Nigerians. Together, we can overcome these challenges and build a nation where every child has enough to eat, every family has a roof over their heads, and every citizen can live with dignity and hope.
May your leadership be guided by love, empathy, and a deep sense of responsibility towards the people you serve. Let us work together to bring about positive change and create a better future for Nigeria.
It is time to fix electricity and make our factories work and the people gainfully employed. It is time to put an end to oil theft, fix the refineries, and restore Nigeria to the path of prosperity. It is time to rework Nigeria’s political system from the bottom – up so that each state controls its resources without any need to look to Abuja before we can run the states and feed our people. It is time to invest more in energy, agriculture, and the knowledge economy. It is time to come to the round table for an honest national discussion so that there may be healing and the bridging of the national divides. It is time to build an egalitarian society where everyone is someone, and every voice respected.
We cannot afford to let God down, He has endowed us more than any part of the world for a purpose. We can not let down the Black race, they believe in a shared destiny with us.
Finally, as we look to the future with hope and optimism, let us remember that change is possible when we stand together as one people, united in our commitment to building a brighter tomorrow for all Nigerians.
May this Easter be a time of renewal and transformation for our nation, as we strive to overcome our challenges and build a more prosperous and inclusive society for generations to come.
