In a heartfelt appeal during the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)’s monthly thanksgiving service, the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, called on Nigerians to pray fervently and live righteously to prevent a looming natural disaster.
Speaking at the RCCG national headquarters in Ebute Meta, Lagos, Pastor Adeboye emphasized that only sincere prayers and a commitment to holiness could turn away the threat of widespread flooding.
Affectionately known as “Daddy G.O.”, the revered cleric had initially shared this warning during the church’s annual Prophecy of the Year segment on December 31st, 2024. At the time, he urged the faithful to seek divine protection by drawing closer to God.
The only sure refuge is in the presence of the Almighty,” Pastor Adeboye reaffirmed in his latest sermon, themed Shadow of the Almighty. He reminded believers that God is ever willing to deliver the nation—if His people respond with obedience and intercession.
The appeal comes in the wake of a devastating flood in Niger State that recently claimed over 100 lives, underscoring the urgency of his message.
