Osun State Government has debunked the press statement in circulation on the purported deposition of the Apetumodu of Ipetumodu, Oba Gbenga Joseph Oloyede.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr.Olufemi Ogundun explained that the Statement did not emanate from the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment or the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Mr. Ogundun urged members of public and indigenes of Ipetumodu to disregard the fake viral story.
He stressed that the State Government has held meaningful consultation and dialogue with stakeholders of Ipetumodu and steps are being taken in line with the rule of law which is the cornerstone of the present administration in the State.
Mr Ogundun added that public and indigenes of Ipetumodu would be informed of the action of Government on the issue through the appropriate channels of communication.
