Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and continue praying for the country as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Akindele made the call on Thursday in a video shared on her Instagram page while acknowledging the economic difficulties facing many Nigerians.
The actress said Nigerians should continue celebrating their country despite the challenges, stressing that Nigeria belongs to everyone.
“Today is Nigeria’s birthday, we have to celebrate despite what’s going on. Nigeria is our own. It’s my country, this is where I earn a living from,” she said.
