Sharing is caring!

Going by the decision by all political stakeholders and interested parties as regards happenings in Ondo State especially as regards the Ill health of the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, the deputy is now back to Akure to take charge of the state pending the recovery of the Governor.

One thing that amazed me in all which also made me unhappy is the way the whole thing is being handled. It sadly reminds one of Late President Yar ‘dua and his wife, how his health issue was badly manage until the man passed away, May his soul continue to rest. This brings to the fore the importance of cautioning immediate family of the political class, their friends, close associates and the likes on how not to display desperation when issues like health and incapacity arises like that of Ondo State. God gives power to whoever he likes.

In recent times, I had opportunities of sitting side by side with Gov Akeredolu and going by his nature and simplicity, he would never had wished this type of commotion happened in his government. But God above all men, he is having no control over his health.

Anytime, any day, Governor Akeredolu remains my man of the year with many battle he fought and won, He is my my Man of The Year. He stands out among the crowd.

I want to wish Deputy Gov Lucky Aiyedatiwa well as he takes over, he’s indeed a cat with nine lives after surviving many impeachment moves and court proceedings against him, but he must not try to play God in carrying out his duties. He must first appreciate Gov Akeredolu for making him what he is today and always wish Akeredolu well not minding what will happened in 2024 Ondo off cycle election.

Let Aiyedatiwa not be desperate and he should learn from history. He should lead the people of Ondo State to pray for his Boss to recover and never wish him otherwise. The Acting Gov should also caution his aides, associates and friends on their utterances in public space.

Let the Acting Gov knows he’s only acting and not the Gov and so he must lead with fear of God and not make more enemies, no revenge or unnecessary cabinet reshuffle at least for now.

While I sincerely pray for divine healing for Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, I pray God touch him and make him whole and perfect his healing, hoping that he returns back as Ondo state Governor, I also wish Lucky Aiyedatiwa well as he governs Ondo state.

May Ondo State survive This Time

May God Heal Aketi…
