Cleric Cautions Against Victimisation of Widows
The pastor-in-charge of christ Apostolic church Oluwadamilare Aje Quarters, Okeagbe Akoko has cautioned nigerians particularly the families members to desist from victimization and stigmatized of widows of their brothers
Pastor Agbaje explained that such act and denial of widows access to properties of their late husbands could force them into adultery and other social vices in a bid to survive with their kids
He urged younger widows to avoid over reliance on the relatives of their late husband rather , they should learn vocational skills that would empower them to train their children
The CAC clergyman urged the widows to always exhibit good characters and be role models so as to earn people’s respect sympathy and assistance the society and government.
Speaking on the challenges facing the country ,pastor Agbaje called on government, well meaning Nigerians ,corporate bodies and non governmental to do more for the widows to cushion the effects.
The pastor however called on government to sanction those who deprived widows of their husbands inheritance.
