Amotekun Foils Robbery Attack in Ogun

The Western Nigeria Security Network code named Amotekun in Ogun State has foiled a robbery attempt in Akinale Town, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.

In a statement by the AMOTEKUN Deputy Corps Commander, Colonel TT Bakare, noted that the swift response of Amotekun team from the Ewekoro command were able to rescued a 28-year-old man, Opeyemi Olusanya, who was shot in the upper region of his left limb, during the operation.

The statement noted that the team promptly rescued the victim to an undisclosed private hospital in Obada-Oko for urgent medical attention.

It added that the robbers fled the scene upon sighting the Amotekun operatives, abandoning their operational vehicle, which had been handed over to the Itori Division of the Nigeria Police.

Other items recovered from the scene of the robbery included eight sophisticated mobile phones, two laptops, jewellery, and 54,000 naira only.
