The Ondo State House of Assembly has today screened and considered the nomination of a Commissioner designate, Erelu Taibat Oloruntoba, Chairman, Ondo State Civil Service Commission, Dr. Mann Omobayi Alli and a Member of the Commission,Mr. Micheal Oshodi.
The nominees appeared before the House as part of the constitutional process for their confirmation and appointment to their respective offices.
During the screening, the Speaker of the House, Rt.Hon(Chief) Olamide Oladiji, urged the nominees to see their prospective appointments as a call to service, stressing the need for commitment, integrity, diligence and loyalty in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Oladiji charged them to always put the interest of the people and the State above personal considerations, noting that their positions would require sound judgment, discipline and dedication to duty.
Responding shortly after the screening, the Commissioner nominee, Erelu Taibat Oloruntoba, expressed appreciation to the House for the opportunity to appear before it and assured of her unalloyed commitment to the government and people of Ondo State.
“We wish to express satisfaction with the thorough and comprehensive nature of the screening.They checked the authenticity of our certificates and also majorly focused on how we will contribute to the growth of Ondo State,”she explained.
Also,the nominee for Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Dr. Mann Omobayi Alli appreciated the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the confidence reposed in him, assuring the lawmakers of his readiness to contribute meaningfully to the development of the Commission, especially in the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance digitalization, efficiency and effective service delivery.
