The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Osun sector command, has deployed 1,000 Regular and Special Marshals across the state for the yuletide.
The Osun sector commander, Mr. Adeleye Adegboyega stated this in a statement issued to newsmen by the command’s spokesperson, Mrs. Agnes Ogungbemi, in Osogbo.
Mr. Adegboyega explained that 28 patrol vehicles and four ambulances with one heavy-duty tow truck would be stationed at strategic locations in the state.
Mr. Adegboyega states, “We will ensure help areas at critical locations across the state for backup and quick response to traffic emergencies.”
He stressed that the command would increase its visibility of operations on roads and also intensify its public awareness to curb road accidents.
The State sector commander expressed the readiness of the command to ensure prompt removal of obstruction and ensure effective management of traffic to prevent congestion.
He called on members of the public to be law-abiding and take responsibility for their safety without any form of distractive driving.
