Vigilante Arrests four Fake Charcoal Dealers with Guns, N12m Cash, Marijuana
The Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Oyo state command, has arrested four suspected criminals, including a woman found in possession of twelve million naira cash and guns, nabbed in Iwajowa local government area of Oyo state.
The suspects were said to have in possession marijuana, guns and cash sum of twelve million naira when they were nabbed during a joint operation between members of the Vigilante group of Nigeria, VGN and the police.
Confirming the incident, commander, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Oyo state command, Comrade Sunday Olajide said the arrest came after a period of surveillance on the suspects who residents of the area alleged to be pretending as charcoal dealers.
Concerned residents who first reported the suspicious movement of the people to the Vigilante group said kidnapping and related crimes in the community could be traced to them if carefully investigated.”
The suspects with the items found on them have been reportedly handed over to Iwajowa Divisional Police headquarters at Iwere – Ile for further investigation.
