TRAGEDY: Four Nursery Pupils Killed in Knife Attack

Police in Uganda says four children aged between one and three have been stabbed and killed at a nursery school in Kampala.

A police spokesperson stated that the suspect used multiple knives to attack and kill three boys and a girl.

Uganda’s Police shared a statement on X that “the motive behind the killings is still under investigation” despite the fact that a 34-year-old man has been arrested.

Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala tells news agency AFP that before he was taken into custody, irate parents attempted to beat him.

Kawala explained that the suspect had visited the school earlier this week to enquire about enrolling his child and was told to return on Thursday.

She stated that other children in the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Programme School at the time of the attack, have been handed back to their parents.

Police Chief, Abas Byakagaba and other senior officers have visited the school to assess the situasion, he urged the public to remain calm while the police continue to do their work.
