President Bola Tinubu has expressed sadness on the news of the passing of patriarch, elder statesman, and foremost Afenifere leader, Pa Rueben Fasoranti who died at the age of 100.
The President on behalf of the people of Nigeria commiserated with the Fasoranti family, the good people of Akure Kingdom, the government and people of Ondo State , South-West Nigeria, and the entire Afenifere family.
According to the president,Pa Fasoranti is an icon, a beacon of principle, and one of the last great titans of Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s progressive family.
President Tinubu acknowledged Pa Fasonranti’s immense contributions to the country even at the risk of his life fighting for the democracy Nigerians enjoy today.
