Suspected kidnappers have reportedly stormed the Health Centre in Oke Ijebu, Akure in the early hours of today, around 3am, abducting all staff on duty.
According to one of the patients , the attackers arrived in a bus, forcefully entered the facility located opposite Mega School, and took away three health workers.
The abductors reportedly packed all the victims into the bus before driving off to an unknown destination.
Residents of the area are said to be in shock, while calls are mounting for urgent security intervention and the safe rescue of the abducted health workers.
Meanwhile, the three health workers have been rescued by the Amotekun corps in Ondo state.
Confirming this to Radio Nigeria, Amotekun Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye said the abducted health workers regained their freedom at about 4:30 am and are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed health facility.
Akogun Adeleye assured residents that safety of lives and property remains a priority for the state government.
