Osun state governor senator Ademola Adeleke.has sworn -in new governing council of the Osun state University.
Addressing the council members, governor Adeleke tasked them to pursue their assignment with seriousness so as not to betray the trust the state put in them.
Governor Adeleke while reminding them that the future of the students of the institution should be protected in their conducts, .said the dissolution and immediate constitution of the governing council was in the best interest of the institution.
He assured them of the government support , urged them to work cooperatively to move the school forward with a warning not to interfere in the day to day running of the institution.
In his acceptance speech, the chairman university Osun governing council, Professor Wale oladipo thanked the governor for giving the outgone council members free hand to operate which he said had helped them to move the school up in ranking table.
He said the huge investment in the school and freedom to operate really helped the outgone council to achieve much for the university.
Professor Oladipo who was the chairmen of the immediate past governing council for 2 year tenure promised to do more to move the institution forward.
In an address, the vice chancellor of the institution , Professor Odunayo Adebooye, thanked the governor for the support he always give the school institution with a promise not to disappoint the state government in moving the institution forward.
