The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a suspect, 26-year-old Gabriel Pius who allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old Abu Simon, to death during a domestic dispute in Idanre local government Area of the state.
The incident was reported to the police by a family acquaintance, leading to the swift arrest of the suspect by the police detectives from the Idanre Division.
The new Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, Mr Adebowale Lawal disclosed this to newsmen at the Command Headquarters in Akure, while providing updates on various crimes that occurred in the state in the few weeks.
The Commissioner confirmed that the suspect had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further discreet investigation and will be charged to court upon completion of the probe.
Similarly, Mr Adebowale Lawal revealed that acting on intelligence, police arrested 28-year-old Olujide Boluwaji Israel (aka Kendowell), a senior member of the Eiye Confraternity terrorizing students and residents around the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo
