Police Nabs Actor for Defiling 14-year-old Girl
Ogun State Police Command has arrested a thirty year old actor named Praise for allegedly defiling a fourteen year old girl in Mowe area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola said on her Facebook page that the suspect was arrested after the grandparents of the victim reported the case at Mowe Police station.
She pointed out that the grandparents of the teenager told the policemen attached to the Mowe Divisional Police that the suspect had abducted the victim and allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of their grand daughter, who under careful observation was discovered to be bleeding profusely.
The Command’s spokesperson said Preliminary investigation had commenced at the Mowe Divisional Headquarters, adding that the case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
Expressing displeasure over sex crimes, Odutola said the command would partner Commissioner for women affairs for rehabilitation of victims, noting that no child in Ogun State should be subjected to such inhumane treatment, sexual assault and sexual abuse.
