Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated the Zonal Secretary of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Zone B, Mrs. Adeola Adewole , on her conferment as Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Oyo State Government.
In a congratulatory message, jointly signed by the Chairman, Mr. Akeem Abas, and the Secretary, Temidayo Adu, the Council described the honour as well-deserved, noting that it reflects Mrs. Adewole’s longstanding commitment to professionalism, integrity, and service to humanity within and outside the journalism profession.
The Union stated that her elevation to the esteemed position of Justice of the Peace was a testament to her credibility, moral standing, and dedication to promoting justice, fairness, and societal development.
According to the statement, Mrs. Adewole has distinguished herself through diligent service to the society, through her professional calling.
The Council expressed confidence that the new role would afford her greater opportunity to deepen her service to society, uphold justice, and continue to serve as a role model to younger journalists, especially women in the profession.
Oyo NUJ wished her success in the new responsibility, while urging her not to relent in her contributions to the development of journalism and the promotion of peace and equity in society.
