Oyo NAWOJ Chairperson Omolola Alamu, Advocates Concerted Efforts to Salvage Nigerian Children
Omolola Alamu, the newly elected Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State chapter, has called for concerted efforts from government and corporate organisation to develop the Nigerian child.
Alamu acknowledged the challenges faced by many children, including poverty, discrimination and violence and called on government, civil society and individuals to work together to address these issues and create a more inclusive and equitable society for all children.
She emphasized the importance of nurturing and supporting their growth, education and well-being, saying, “Children are the foundation of our future and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they have access to quality education, healthcare and a safe and loving environment to thrive.”
In a statement, Omolola Alamu praised the resilience and creativity of children, describing them as the future leaders and change-makers of our society.
Alamu pledged to prioritize issues affecting children and women and to use her platform to amplify their voices and advocate for their rights.
