Osun State College of Education Suspends Provost
The Provost of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Professor Jimoh Afolabi has been suspended.
A statement by the chairman, governing council of the institution, Doctor Peter Babalola indicates that the suspension is to allow proper investigations into the infractions levelled against him.
The statement directs Professor Afolabi to hand over all college properties in his custody to the deputy provost and vacate the college premises with immediate effect.
It prohibits Professor Afolabi from entering into the college or any of its facilities except by invitation from the governing council.
The statement adds that Professor Afolabi cannot exercise the functions of his office pending the final determination of his case and decision of the state government.
