The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has said it is studying the results of Saturday’s governorship election across the state’s 332 wards to determine its next line of action.
The Director of Media and Information of the party, Chief Kola Olabisi, disclosed this in a statement, saying the party’s leadership was consulting with its lawyers before deciding whether to explore the legal options provided under the Electoral Act 2026.
Chief Olabisi commended the party’s members and supporters for their steadfastness, sagacity and loyalty throughout the election.
He described the outcome as a reflection of the beauty of democracy and assured that the party, founded on the principles of the rule of law, fairness and justice, would not hesitate to pursue any available legal avenue after due consultation.
Chief Olabisi also called on the Nigeria Police Force to intervene and protect the party’s members, whom he alleged were being unnecessarily harassed by opposition supporters.
