All is set for the governorship election in Osun state.
Fifteen political parties and 2,339,233 registered voters, will be participating in the off cycle election.
Prime News had earlier reported that the independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had distributed sensitive voting materials, ballot papers and Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS devices to the polling units across the 30 local government areas of the state ahead of today’s election.
Security operatives including the Nigerian Army, Police and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC have been deployed to Osogbo, the state capital, Ilesa , Ile-Ife, Ede, Ikire and other flashpoints in the state to ensure a peaceful exercise.
