Osun Begins Registration of People with Disabilities

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has directed the registration of citizens with disabilities without a fee.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Needs, Mr. Kamil Aransi in a statement said the registration exercise will be done with ten days from Monday, May 27, 2024, to Friday, June 7, 2024.

Mr. Aransi explained that the registration would assist the government in knowing the precise number of people with special needs, especially in terms of wants and demands such as physical, sensory, cognitive, and intellectual impairments.

He said the data gotten from the registration would help government develop targeted programs and services, ensuring that individuals with special needs receive the necessary support and resources to lead fulfilling lives.

While describing Governor Adeleke as a compassionate leader who is obsessed with people with special needs to make life easy for them, Mr. Aransiola promised the support of people with special needs for the present administration’s success.
