Sharing is caring!

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated that former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, is no longer a member of the party.

The party leadership said it has reported Aregbesola to the national secretariat for causing distractions and disruptions to the party’s activities in the state.

The party also warned its members to ignore a membership registration exercise being conducted by Aregbesola’s faction, The Omoluabi Progressives (TOP), as it is not recognized by the party.

The party’s chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, and secretary, Kamoru Alao, made this known in a communique issued after a stakeholders’ meeting in Osogbo, on Tuesday.

They emphasized that the party has not started any membership registration in the state and any registration exercise being conducted is unknown to the party.

The Nigerian Monitor gathered that the party has referred Aregbesola’s matter to the national secretariat, seeking disciplinary action against him.

The party’s secretary, Kamoru Alao, stated that Aregbesola’s actions are causing distractions to the party’s activities in the state and the national secretariat needs to take necessary action to address the situation.

In the communique, Osun State APC disowned Aregbesola, and warned its members to ignore his membership registration exercise, saying it has referred his matter to the national secretariat for disciplinary action.
