Ondo Chief Judge Swears in Olayide Adelami as Deputy Governor

Dr Olaide Adelami, has been sworn in as the Ondo State Deputy Governor.

The swearing in ceremony was performed by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Olusegun Odusola

Adelami, a former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, picked last Tuesday by the state governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the deputy governor after which his name was sent to the state House of Assembly for screening and ratification.

At a ceremony held at the International Culture and Event Centre, Akure on Thursday, the new Deputy Governor, Dr Adelami in his acceptance speech , pledged total loyalty to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and use his wealth of experience for the overall development of Ondo state and asked for support for the administration.

Speaking, Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa dropped a hint that some former cabinet members of the Ondo State executive council would be reabsorbed into the new cabinet.

The governor said those who had demonstrated capacity in the last cabinet would be taken back into his new team soon.

He justified the cabinet reshuffle as necessary to inject fresh ideas to pilot the affairs of the state with an assurance that his administration would do more in the provision of dividends of democracy to all.

Governor Ayedatiwa lauded the qualities of the new deputy governor describing him as a professional, philanthropist and as well charged him to be impartial, transparent and accountable.
