Ondo Assembly Members Visit Akeredolu’s Family in Ibadan

Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly have paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in his Ibadan residence, Oyo State capital.

The Lawmakers led by the Speaker of the House, Mr Olamide Oladiji also had in the entourage, the Deputy Speaker, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan, Majority leader, Mr Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, Principal Officers and other members of the 10th Assembly.

Mr Oladiji, while commiserating with the family said that the Late Governor Akeredolu had done a lot for Ondo State and its citizens.

“We’ve lost a leader, a father figure, a seasoned politician who cared about his people”, the Speaker said.

He re-echoed that every local government in the state benefitted from the late governor.

The speaker urged the family to put their faith in God in this trying time, and take heart as God is there to take care of them.

Mr Oladiji also encouraged the people of Ondo State to continue to pray for Governor Akeredolu’s family and the State at large.

He prayed to God to grant his family, State and Nigeria the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Responding on behalf of the family, the deceased younger brother, Professor. Oluwole Akeredolu appreciated the Lawmakers for finding time to visit the family.

He thanked the Lawmakers for their love and support for the family.
