NYSC DG Assures Safety of Corps Members
The Director General, National Youths Service Corps, NYSC Brigadier – General Yushau Ahmed has assured Nigerians of the safety and security of corps members serving in the country.
The NYSC DG gave the assurance during a visit to the NYSC Permanent orientation camp Iseyin, Oyo state
Brigadier General Ahmed who noted that the security situation in the country was general said strategy to ensure adequate protection for Corps members across the states of the federation had been arranged.
The NYSC DG warned the corps members against indiscriminate travelling, posting on social media, truancy and disrespect to the culture and traditions of their host communities.
Addressing Batch A Stream 1 corps members at the orientation camp, Brigadier General Ahmed enjoined them to participate fully in the skill acquisition training which would make them self reliant after the service year .
Earlier in an address of welcome, Oyo state coordinator of NYSC, Mr. Abel Oche sought the assistance of the DG on the completion of a five thousand seater multi purpose hall under construction before the raining season so that training would go unhindered whenever it rains.
The NYSC DG was entertained with both military salute and cultural dances by corps members
