The Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has assured corps members posted to the State of adequate welfare and security.
The Governor gave the assurance at the swearing-in ceremony for 2025 Batch B stream 1 corps members held at NYSC permanent camp, Iseyin.
Governor Makinde who was represented by the stre commissioner for Youth and Sports , Alhaja Wosilat Adegoke noted that relevant agencies and stakeholders had been charged to treat corps members’ concerns with utmost priority.
The Governor emphasised that security of corps members were paramount in his agenda, assuring them that all necessary measures were in place to protect them throughout the service year.
The Oyo state coordinator of the NYSC, Mr Kayode Peters said programmes that will equip corps members with relevant skills had been lined up during the twenty-one days orientation course.
The 2376 corps members comprising 876 males and 1500 females swore oath of allegiance led by the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Iyabo Yerima represented by Justice Kareem Adedokun
