Kamorudeen Ajisafe Emerges PDP National Vice Chairman
Osun born politician and lawyer, Mr Lukman Ajisafe has emerged the National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP South west.
This followed the party’s South West zonal caucus meeting held at the Oyo state Government House, Agodi Gate, Ibadan.
Governor Makinde in an interview with newsmen said the south west PDP is now stronger and fully united.
In his words: “the major outcome of this meeting is that now the south west PDP is now fully united.
And we have a new national vice chairman in the person of Engineer, Barrister Lukman Ajisafe.”
In a remark, the party’s new national vice chairman (south) Mr Ajisafe expressed gratitude to governor Seyi Makinde and his counterpart from Osun, Ademola Adeleke for their leadership roles in his emergence.
Mr Ajisafe also appreciated the party’s National Deputy Chairman (south), Taofeek Arapaja for his support which led to his emergence.
On the dispute resolution within the party, Ajisafe said: “the margin reconciliation is ongoing and as a barrister, I should be able to lend my own weight also to the reconciliation process so that at the end of the day, we could easily predict the future that tomorrow will be good and PDP will take its rightful position in the nation’s political arena.
There’s no doubt the two of them (Makinde and Adeleke) have come together and I’m going to position myself in such a way not to undermine the regulations, rules and constitution of our party.
” So, the reconciliation will continue and we will ensure discipline within our party.”
The PDP National Deputy Chairman (South),Taofeek Arapaja, said Nigerians should expect that PDP with its vast experience in and out of government at the national level to reclaim its rightful position
He said: “Today, we have held the zonal meeting of South West PDP caucus and the two governors, Governors Seyi Makinde and Ademola Adeleke, for the first time came together to meet with members nominated to represent our zone in Abuja as the national vice chairman.”
Mr Lukman Ajisafe emergence as the national vice chairman, PDP South West followed the death of its former chairman, late Olasoji Adagunodo last year.
