Preparations are in top gear for the official inauguration of the newly elected executives of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council.
The incumbent chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, along with the council’s secretary, Mr. Olaoluwa Meshack, will both be sworn in for a second term, reaffirming their leadership roles in the state chapter.
Also joining the new executive team is Mrs. Maria Famakinwa of Owena Chapel, who will assume the position of Treasurer, while Miss Precious Oluwole of Federated Chapel will serve as the Assistant Secretary.
Dignitaries and representatives from the NUJ B Zone executive committee have already arrived in Akure to witness the event, which is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the NUJ Press Centre, located behind the Adegbemile Cultural Centre, Akure, by 10:00 am.
The event promises to be a significant gathering for media practitioners and stakeholders across the state, as the union charts its course for another tenure of impactful journalism and leadership.
