JUST IN: Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi for Burial April 29
The late designer of the Nigerian flag, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi is to be buried on April 29, 2024.
A close source to the family disclosed this to Prime News saying order of activities for the final journey home are yet to be released.
According to the source, the burial date was fixed by the governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
Prior to this development, there had been concerns and agitation by the family and citizens as regards the delay in committing the remains of the national hero to rest.
Recalled that the minister of information and national orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Malagi who led a Federal Government delegation on a condolence visit to the family in Ibadan on September 4, last year and announced Federal Government promised a befitting burial for the man whose innovative work serve as a national unifying emblem.
