JUST IN: Gunmen Kill Aiyedatiwa Campaign Coordinator
The Ondo State Police Command says it is investigating the reported killing of a politician in Supare Akoko in Akoko South West council area of the state, Mr. Alaba Abe-Excel.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya told journalists that the police were already aware of the matter.
Mr Abe-Excel was said to one of the ward coordinators for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s campaign organization in Akoko area.
A statement by the director of Information of the campaign group , Mr. Kayode Fasua alleges that the late Abe-Excel was gruesomely murdered and shot in his Supare home on Saturday, April 27th.
The statement describes the incident as shocking to members of the All Progressives Congress working for the success of the governor in the forthcoming Governorship election.
It then called on the police to track the perpetrators with an appeal to the police authorities to protect its members against implacable opponents.
