Gunmen who abducted four worshippers at a Celestial Church in Uso, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Tuesday have reportedly demanded ₦100 million for their release.
The kidnappers were said to have contacted the victims’ families Wednesday afternoon to communicate the ransom demand.
A family source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the abductors reached out and insisted on the payment before the victims would be freed.
The worshippers were reportedly taken when armed men invaded the church located along Owo-Akure highway during a midnight service. Five persons were reportedly kidnapped but one of them escaped.
