In a decisive move to strengthen security across Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies in safeguarding lives and property.
Speaking at the official handover ceremony of 50 operational vehicles to various security agencies at the Government House in Akure, Governor Aiyedatiwa praised the dedication of security personnel in maintaining peace and order. He emphasized the importance of using the vehicles efficiently for patrol duties and prompt response to emergencies.
The safety of our people is paramount,” the governor said. “We must equip our security agencies with the tools they need to protect lives and ensure a peaceful environment across the state.”
The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, also commended the initiative, highlighting it as a reflection of the administration’s proactive stance on security. He called on residents to complement these efforts by fostering peace and unity within their communities.
Brigadier General Justine Ifeanyi, Commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment, and Chief Adetunji Adeleye, Commandant of the Ondo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun), expressed appreciation for the state government’s continued support. They assured the public that the vehicles would be deployed strategically to tackle security threats and enhance rapid response capabilities.
This latest intervention marks a significant step in the state government’s ongoing efforts to build a safer Ondo for all.
