Government Demolishes Illegal Structures at Old Sagamu Toll Gate
Ogun State Government has commenced the demolition of all shanties and makeshift structures at the old Sagamu Tollgate along the Lagos – Benin Expressway.
Speaking during the exercise, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Environment , Alhaji Farook Akintunde explained that the exercise was part of the state’s continuous efforts at creating a cleaner, greener, safer, and healthier environment while also discouraging street selling.
Alhaji Akintunde stressed that the street traders had been given enough notice to leave the setback.
He warned the traders not to disobey government orders by returning, adding that the government would soon begin landscaping and beautification of the area.
