FG to Create Job Fair for Unemployed Youths – Youth Minister

The federal government has allayed the fear of students of not able to repay the loan after graduation due to unemployment.
Minster of State for Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande stated this while addressing Batch A Stream two Corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin, Oyo State
The minister who had personal touch with the corps members secured the permission of the state coordinator and other camp officials to suspend drill activities and declared free drinks for the over two thousand newly sworn in corps members as they observe the break.
Mr Olawande explained that the government under the leadership of president Bola Tinubu had mapped out programmes and initiatives to skill up the Nigerian youths and make them self reliant to profer solutions to the challenges facing the nation.
He counselled the youths to embrace skill acquisition, saying degree certificate was nothing without complimentary skills and announced start up grants for best five Corps members in SAED Programme.
The minister disclosed that the federal government through his ministry had initiated the Nigerian Youth Academy where youths will register and learn skills adding that the project would be launched when the test run is completed.
Mr Olawande also said a job fair would be launched to mop up the unemployed youths in both the formal and informal sectors
Earlier in an address while declaring the orientation course opened, Oyo State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde, represented by the commissioner for sports miss Wosilat Adegoke, admonished the  corps members not to join the bandwagon of negativity but strive to be self reliant and create wealth.
The state Coordinator of NYSC, Mr. Abel Oche sought the assistance of well meaning Nigerians on the completion of a five thousand seater multi purpose hall under construction to enable  conducive atmosphere for  unhindered training of corps members at the camp.
