The family of the late BCOS newscaster, Mrs. Rachael Adebukola Akintade, has announced arrangements for her burial.
Mrs. Akintade passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the age of 54, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and service within the journalism community.
According to a funeral invitation released by the Akintade family, a series of activities have been lined up to celebrate her life, described as one of meaningful impact and dedication to humanity.
The wake-keep is scheduled to hold on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the BCOS Chapel, Ile-Akede, Orita Bashorun, Ibadan.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the BCOS RATTAWU Hall, also located at Ile-Akede, Orita Bashorun, Ibadan.
Family members, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers are expected to attend the ceremonies to pay their last respects and celebrate the life of the deceased.
The invitation indicates that guests are to observe a white dress code, symbolising honour and reverence for the departed.
