Day-of-Honour: Radio Nigeria, Journalists, Dignitaries Fete Doklad on Retirement

It was a moment of joy with reminiscences as professional colleagues converged on NUJ Press Centre, Alagbaka Akure Ondo State to celebrate the retirement of former General Manager, Gold FM Ilesha, Osun State, Mr Dokun Ladele.

Mr Dokun Ladele , popularly known as Doklad retired as Deputy Director News , he once served as Radio Nigeria Correspondent covering Ondo State , head of news units Positive FM Akure , Progress FM Ado-Ekiti and General Manager , Progress FM.

According to the Positive FM head of News Unit , Mrs Dupe Isename , despite Mr Ladele exit on transfer from the station years ago , staff in the unit still supported whole heartedly the idea to honor him on his retirement considering his legacies.

The General Manager, Positive FM Akure, Mrs Olubunmi Olalere appreciated the newsroom unit for the get together describing Mr Ladele as a go-getter

In a series of goodwill messages and testimonies, colleagues , Ondo NUJ Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite spoke of how the celebrant boosted his confidence on the job

Others eulogized Mr Ladele as a veteran journalist who brought out the best in his subordinates with discipline.

Dignitaries on the occasion included Chief Press Secretary , CPS to Ondo State Governor , Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan represented by Mrs Olamiposi Odofin who said Mr Ladele was a thorough bread journalist committed to offering leadership skills

The Chairman Planning Committee, Mrs Bukola Bardi thanked the CPS , Mr Adeniyan for his gesture towards the celebrant and his other generous support for the media in Ondo State while also appreciating others who graced the occasion.

In a response , Mr Ladele appreciated Positive FM newsroom for the honor done him and encouraged those still in the service of Radio Nigeria to imbibe dedication and professionalism to continue to put the corporation on high pedastal of broadcasting in Nigeria.

The celebrant was showered with gifts from the management and staff of Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure and staff of newsroom at Positive FM .
