The Comptroller General, Nigeria Customs Service, Mr Bashir Adeniyi has reaffirmed the commitment of the service to remain a strong partner in advancing the Nation’s economic prosperity.
Mr Adeniyi who stated this in Abeokuta during his visit to Ogun II Area command also encouraged Officers of the state command to embrace continuous professional development and capacity building for enhanced performance in the discharge of the responsibilities.
The Customs Comptroller General described Ogun State Ogun State as a very strategic place in Nigeria, in terms of location particularly its important and strategic border areas shared with Benin Republic.
Noting that the State governor was leveraging this advantage and repositioning the state for industrial development, Mr Adeniyi promised to address the challenges affecting the operation of the command.
He also encouraged the Ogun ll Area Controller, Mr Bisi Alade to continue the good work of collaborating with the sister agency’s and the state government.
Earlier, the Customs Area Controller, Mr Bisi Alade, had told the Comptroller General that the Command had generated over Fifteen billion naira between January and April 2025.
Describing his visit as a morale booster to the entire Command Officers, Mr Alade had listed the challenge of the command to include Lack of Operational vehicle, Laboratory equipment in the Command clinic as well as Renovation of two 30 Man rank and file
He assured the Mr Adeniyi that the Command would continue to uphold the core mandates of the service through discipline, integrity, and selfless service.
