Cross River Declares 14-day Christmas Holiday for Workers

The Cross River Governor Bassey Otu has approved a 14-day Christmas holiday for all civil servants in the state, effective December 20, 2023.

In a statement by the chief press secretary to the governor, Emmanuel Ogbeche, notes that those on essential services were exempted from the holiday.

The governor commended the workers for their commitment and hard work urging them to use the opportunity to spend quality time with their families and also be actively involved in the annual Calabar carnival.

The workers are expected back at their duty posts on January 3, 2024.
