Christians Must Seek Divine Cleansing to Halt Evil Trend – Rev’d Dahunsi
The Lead Pastor of His Pavilion Christian Centre (HPCC) Rev’d Niyi Dahunsi, has urged Christians to seek God’s divine cleansing to counter the rising evil trends in every sphere of life
Rev’d Dahunsi, in a powerful sermon delivered during the Sunday’s service at the church auditorium, emphasised the importance of spiritual healing as a pathway to both personal restoration and societal change
The cleric explained that many of the challenges individuals face were deeply rooted in curses and covenants that corrupt the very essence of humanity, noting that these generational chains form an evil cycle, negatively impacting not only personal lives but also the broader society.
He stressed that only divine intervention, that is, healing from God could break the chains and lead to breakthroughs.
There is no reason why you need to bear the pain: in the pains comes the shame, in the hurt comes the wound, and in the wounds comes the brokenness. God is the God who heals. He wants to restore you—emotionally, spiritually, and physically.”…Rev’d Dahunsi declared passionately.
Rev’d Dahunsi highlighted the efficacy of spiritual healing adding that it isn’t just a personal need but a crucial key to combating the pervasive evil trends that infect our societies saying “anywhere you see filth, there’s a need for spiritual cleansing.”
Rev’d Dahunsi reminded believers that when God’s power touches an individual, it has the potential to transform entire communities. Through this divine healing, society can be liberated from its state of decay.
He drew attention to the current state of the nation’s economy, which he described as “laced with crisis and evil.” Emphasising the necessity of aligning with God’s economy—a spiritual economy that brings prosperity, healing, and restoration. For Christians, this alignment means seeking God’s divine intervention not just for themselves but for the world around them.
The HPCC Set man also spoke on the importance of prosperity in shaping thriving communities, stressing that prosperity was the foundation for building cities that are safe, functional, and flourishing.
No other instrument can enlarge a city more than prosperity,” he stated.
The cleric, pointed out that when we see signs of poverty and neglect—like unpaved roads, lack of basic infrastructure, or unsafe living conditions—it’s a call for believers to act, both in prayer and through tangible efforts to align with God’s divine economy.
Rev’d Dahunsi painted a vivid picture of how prosperity, fueled by divine blessing, was crucial for building a better future and challenged believers to consider the state of their own communities and see where they could pray for spiritual healing and work toward positive change.
