Choose to Be Strong
Everyone in life survives and is significant to the extent of his/her strength threshold.
Life situation and circumstances test our strength level. The devil attacks us to check our vulnerability. That is why we must maintain continual strength in all areas;
Physical
Mental
Emotional
Financial
Spiritual (which is the all roundfactor
The physical attack you’re experiencing is an not an end in itself. The devil wants to use it to break you down, compromise your family, drain your finances, isolate you from fellowship with God and other saints.
What the lion does when chasing animals is to isolate the weak one for a catch.
Your down moment is not when to stop going to church. Don’t trust decisions make in weakness.
Hear what Jesus said;
John 10:10 NLT [10] The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
He is our strong redeemer, stronger by far than the adversary. See what he will do;
Jeremiah 50:34 NLT [34] But the one who redeems them is strong. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. He will defend them and give them rest again in Israel. But for the people of Babylon there will be no rest!
Just as our redeemer is, you have to chose to be strong. That’s why Paul counselled. The final word.
Ephesians 6:10 NLT [10] A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
David being a mighty man of valor, had down moments. In one of such incidents, his followers even spoke of stoning him because their children and wives were taken captive by bandits.
1 Samuel 30:6, 8 NLT [6] David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the Lord his God.
[8] Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!”
Whatever you lose, do not lose your strength in the Lord.
I also pray for you, yes! You will surely recover everything that was taken from you! in Jesus mighty name.
Your source of strength is in God’s mighty power.
1. Draw strength from His word.
Any day without the word, makes one weak.
1 John 2:14 KJV
[14] …I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
2. Draw strength from Prayers.
Hebrews 5:7 NLT
[7] While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers… to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers…
3. Draw strength from worship.
Worship is like war-ship. It’s for the strong.
Psalm 29:1-2 KJV [1] Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. [2] Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
4. Draw strength from wisdom.
Proverbs 24:5 AMP [5] A wise man is strong, And a man of knowledge strengthens his power;
5. Draw strength from Fellowship (Church). We’re stronger together. The corporate grace and anointing are there to lean on.
Psalm 20:2 KJV [2] Send thee help from the sanctuary, And strengthen thee out of Zion;
Psalms 84:7 AMP [7] They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]; Each of them appears before God in Zion.
6. Draw strength from the Holy Spirit.
Luke 2:40 AMP [40] And the Child continued to grow and become strong [in spirit], filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor, spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him.
Ephesians 3:16 NLT [16] I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.
May this be your reality in this season in Jesus name.
