Often referred to as a “golden fish in the ocean” or a “shining light,” Dr. Shona is widely recognized for her silent but far-reaching efforts to transform lives. Her humility remains steadfast, always attributing her success to divine grace, often saying: “Olorun ni ka máa dúpẹ́ fun” (It is God that we should thank).

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to humanity, Dr. Shona has continued to receive accolades from local, national, and international bodies. Most recently, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the European-American University during a well-attended 3-in-1 event at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. The celebration, hosted by renowned entertainer Doyin Kukoyi, also featured the presentation of two prestigious awards from the Institute of Chartered Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria and the Africa Security Watch Awards.

During the award presentation, Professor Dominic Opara, Director-General of the Institute of Chartered Administrators of Nigeria, described Dr. Shona as a model of excellence in leadership, humanitarian service, entrepreneurship, hospitality, and education. He praised her relentless commitment to women’s empowerment and human capital development.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Dr. Shona reiterated her belief in humanity and the power of selfless service. She emphasized that her accomplishments would not have been possible without God’s guidance and the unwavering support of her husband, Engr. (Dr.) Victor O. Aluko, whom she fondly refers to as “Kabiyesi.”

Dr. Shona also extended heartfelt thanks to the Association of Female Artisans Worldwide (AOFAW), led by National President Dr. Jumoke Aborode, for their presence and solidarity during the celebration. Her passion for empowering female artisans remains one of the cornerstones of her philanthropic mission.

This recent recognition adds to her growing list of accolades, including an Honorary Doctorate from Kingdom Life University, Florida, USA, among numerous others.
