The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued an official clarification regarding its recruitment process, in response to a misleading letter making rounds on social media.
In a statement signed by Major General AM Jibril (Rtd.), Secretary to the Board, CDCFIB acknowledged that while there is a Presidential approval for recruitment into the four paramilitary services under its purview, the actual recruitment involves a detailed and structured process.
The Board emphasized that any official notification regarding recruitment will be made exclusively through adverts in national dailies, and the entire process will be transparent and free of any charges.
Members of the public should be wary of the activities of recruitment racketeers who may want to take advantage of unsuspecting job seekers,” the statement warned. It urged Nigerians to avoid falling victim to fraudsters attempting to exploit the current recruitment buzz.
This clarification comes amid growing concern about fake job offers and the circulation of unofficial recruitment letters targeting desperate job seekers.
The CDCFIB reiterated its commitment to a fair, open, and corruption-free recruitment exercise for all candidates.
