Beware of People Using Our Logo for Endorsement – JONAPWD
The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria, JONAPWD, has cautioned the public against unsuspecting persons and organisations using the association logo as endorsement on programmes without formal approval.
This is contained in a statement personally signed by the National President of JONAPWD, Alhaji Abdullahi and made available to newsmen on Tuesday
Aliyu-Usman said the association has observed that some people and organisations were putting JONAPWD logo on the banners and fliers of their programmes and events without formal engagement of the executive of the association.
“That logo was registered with JONAPWD at the Corporate Affairs Commission, therefore anybody or organisation using the logo without approval from the umbrella body would be prosecuted at the competent court of law”
Aliyu-Usman frowned at the act and vowed that legal means would be explored if the concerned parties failed to desist from the criminal act.
He expressed the readiness of JONAPWD to partner and collaborate with registered organisations and law abiding individuals on meaningful programmes that would better the lives of the citizens and engender development in the Nigerian society
Aliyu-Usman also alerted security agencies to clamp down on individuals and organisations who are fond of cutting corners to tarnish the image of JONAPWD which is being reputed for probity and uprightness.
