Ayefele Commends Residents, Firefighters Over Music House Fire Incident

The management of Fresh FM Nigeria has commended residents of Ibadan, passersby and officials of the Oyo State Fire Service for their swift intervention during the fire outbreak that gutted the station’s head office on Friday evening.

In a statement signed by the Group Head of Corporate Affairs, Samson Akindele, the organisation expressed deep appreciation to “good-spirited Nigerians” who responded promptly to the emergency, noting that residents around the studio complex were the first to arrive before the fire service joined in containing the blaze.

Akindele disclosed that though the fire was eventually brought under control, the extent of damage could not be immediately quantified. He added that investigations were ongoing to determine the exact cause of the inferno.

The incident, which occurred at the Challenge area of Ibadan, razed parts of the building housing the studios of Fresh 105.9 FM and Blast 98.3 FM, as well as other adjoining offices and equipment.

He maintained that despite the setback, Fresh FM remains committed to its broadcasting duties and will continue to serve its listeners across Oyo State and beyond.

Fresh FM, established by gospel singer Yinka Ayefele, is one of the leading private radio stations in the South West and has expanded operations to other states in Nigeria.
