Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Alli, a Senatorial hopeful for Oyo Central Senatorial District, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing his demise as a monumental national loss.
AWA, in a condolence message issued on Saturday in Ibadan, commiserated with President Bola Tinubu, over the loss of the former leader, whom he called “a symbol of integrity and patriotism.”
He noted that the former president Muhammadu Buhari would be remembered for his commitment to national unity, anti-corruption crusade and dedication to public service, which left indelible mark on the Nigerian political landscape.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to President Bola Tinubu, who shared a deep political bond and ideological camaraderie with the late President Buhari. This is indeed a trying moment for our dear country,” he said.
AWA acknowledged the contributions of the president in sustaining and consolidating on national development, saying his two years in office have brought impactful reforms across key sectors.
The senatorial hopeful praised Tinubu’s administration for its bold economic policies, renewed hope agenda, infrastructural drive and commitment to restoring investor confidence, despite the challenges of global economic instability.
“Within two years, President Tinubu has demonstrated purposeful leadership, courage and a deep resolve to reposition Nigeria on the path of prosperity. His performance has given Nigerians a renewed sense of direction,” AWA stated.
He urged Nigerians to rally around the Tinubu-led administration and in collective commitment to national progress, saying the future of Nigeria depended on unity, vision as well as resilient leadership.
