Apostle Peter Akanji Buries 105 Years Old Mother Amidst Celebration

It was celebration of life full of impartfuness and accomplishments as clergymen, friends and associates joined the Apostle Peter Akanji, the General Overseer of World Outreach Revival Centre and his Sister, Reverend Esther Olarewaju, to bid their matriarch Madam Emily Mofoyeke Àkànjí farewell.

The funeral service held at her resident in Alakia, Ibadan was saturated with celebration mood as WOREC Choir members Stunned the congregants with melodious rendition elucidating the many parts of the deceased as an accomplished trader and prayer warrior in her 105 years sojourn on earth.

In his sermon, delivered in yoruba language, Reverend Joseph Popoola who eulogised the virtues of the Late Madam Emily Mofoyeke Àkànjí for grooming her two children as ministers of the gospel who both answered God’s call into full time ministry.

Reverend Popoola who’s a former, Chairman ,Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Egbeda Local Government,urged the people to shelve their inordinate ambitions to heed the call of God for good deed and uprightness, adding that death could call at anytime.

Speaking Son of the deseased, Apostle Peter Akanji, who’s the husband to Assistant Director News and Current Affairs, radio Nigeria Ibadan zonal Station, Mrs Anthonia Akanji, paid glowing tributes to his mother, saying, she would be greatly missed for her wise counsel and prayers

On her part, Daughter of the deseased Reverend Esther Olarewaju, said mama taught her total reliance and devotion to God.

Born into the family of Akinjo in Oje area of Ibadan, over a century ago, late Madam Emily Mofoyeke Àkànjí was known for her business acumen as she was foundly called Iya Ọlọ́jà. She was a devout Christian and a good composer of songs for her grandchildren.
