The National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Dayo Israel, has announced plans to establish Progressives Campus Clubs in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Briefing newsmen at the APC Youths Resource Center in Abuja, Mr. Israel said the initiative aimed to engage and mentor the next generation of young progressives through impactful programmes.
According to him, the engagement will include training in digital technology for all students, irrespective of political affiliation.
“It’s not just at election time that we will want to engage students. We want the party to have activities and concrete programs that make a positive impact on the youths,” he stated.
The APC Youth Leader, explained that the campus clubs would serve as platforms for continuous interaction with students, while offering skill-building opportunities in areas such as digital innovation.
Mr. Israel noted that the APC Youths Resource Center was created to begin mobilizing and empowering young Nigerians ahead of the next election. He added that the party has also set up a membership enrichment team to document and digitize its young members.
