The Akinyele Youth Forum has honoured the Deputy Director of Programmes at Radio Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, Rev. Niyi Dahunsi, with an award of recognition.
The award was presented to Rev. Dahunsi in his office at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dugbe, Ibadan, by the executives of the forum led by Comrade Paul Olagoke. It was in acknowledgment of his unwavering commitment and selfless service towards peace, progress, and societal development.
Rev. Dahunsi, who is also the Lead Pastor of His Pavilion Christian Center, was described by the youths as a strong pillar of support whose contributions have positively impacted both the community and the forum.
In his remarks, Comrade Olagoke appreciated Dahunsi for his consistent support during his tenure and urged him to extend the same encouragement to the new leadership of the forum under Comrade Sijuwola Adekunle.
Responding, Rev. Dahunsi expressed gratitude to the Akinyele Youth Forum for the honour and charged the youths to prioritize love for the nation and work hard to earn leadership positions.
He further encouraged them to uphold good character, embrace peace, and strive for the development of their community, stressing that “youths are the leaders of today, not tomorrow.”
The Akinyele Youth Forum is the umbrella body of young people in Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan. The group is committed to youth development and the overall progress of the local government and Ibadan metropolis.
