The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has appealed for urgent financial and logistical support ahead of the Super Eagles’ semi-final match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), citing the need to sustain organised and effective backing for the national team.
The supporters’ club said the scale and intensity of a semi-final fixture require increased resources to mobilise Nigerian fans, provide transportation, accommodation and musical coordination, and ensure a strong presence in and around the stadium during the crucial encounter.
ANFASSC made the appeal as it congratulated the Super Eagles on their qualification for the last four of the tournament, commending the team’s resilience, discipline and fighting spirit which, it noted, have inspired Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.
The club disclosed that it has activated its full support structure ahead of the semi-final clash against host nation Morocco, including logistics planning, supporter engagement and coordination with relevant stakeholders to maintain disciplined and unified fan support.
It also called on the Federal Government, sports authorities, corporate organisations and well-meaning Nigerians to rally behind the Super Eagles through timely funding and streamlined ticketing arrangements, stressing that collective support is vital as Nigeria seeks a place in the AFCON final.
